In need of Silicon tubing.

Postby combat_pilot » Tue May 12, 2009 8:12 am

I am in need of flexible silicone tubing for my scale heli exhaust, Norburn no longer carries any silicone tubing. Nor dose home depot. Any help here in locating a retailer would be a great help.

Company Names or Emails, (local)
Thx.
Can someone tell me where my throttle hold switch is.... I'm about to crash.

Hi Wayne , Lone time no hear from....
You might try the Marine supply stores or even the RV service departments
for some Silicone tubing. Let me know how you make out.

Now that I have went to the local dive shop and to steveston marine & hardware, all so talked with people in the industrial plastics industry. I have come to the conclusion that flexible silicone rubber can not be bought in the lower mainland. If anyone has a connection to a local supplier of this product please email me (or other), business name or location.

Thx.

Hi Wayne,

just thinking of where it might be used & remembered back to when I was into saltwater fish.

Try BIG AL's fish & supplies on 3 Road, across from Landsdown mall, strip mall before Brighouse TV, facing 3 road.
I don't think the small pet stores will have, but a large supply place like big al's might have. I'm sure I used it to plumb
the saltwater tank.

What about that appliance repair place in Steveston? Dishwashers probably use it?

I'm sure it'll be used in sanitary/chemical stuff, have you tried Andrew Sherets plumbing supplies over on Vanguard ?
Hey Honey, look what I just bought!

Why dont you give Kelly Watkinson a shout.... e-mail: Kelly.Watkinson@Kardium.com
He just ordered two different sizes of high temp. silicon hose for me.
The company he is ordering it from is on the web and you can choose the size you need.
Unfortunately this company will not deliver to private people.
I use this silicon hose already for some time on my heli as an exhaust extension with no problem.
Here is the url from the silicon company: http://www.mcmaster.com/#tubing/=5y87cw
You can select the hose you need and get in contact with Kelly.
Hope this helps...
